The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 19, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. ET, at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, 311 East Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Branded as “Trivia for Architects, NOT Architectural Trivia,” the event welcomes teams made up of professional colleagues, friends, and family members. Each team may have up to eight players. The winning team will take home a fabulous trophy and, more importantly, bragging rights until the next AIA Fort Wayne/YAF FW Trivia Night! The Young Architects Forum Fort Wayne (YAF FW) is excited to celebrate World Architecture Day 2026 at Science Central, on Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help make the day a success! Continuing an annual tradition, YAF FW is partnering with Science Central to introduce children of all ages, and even a few parents, to the world of architecture through a fun, hands-on learning experience. This year’s activity will take participants through four interactive stations exploring the process of designing a house for a specific biome. Along the way, kids will learn how architects think about climate, environment, design challenges, and the needs of the people who will use a building. Architects, emerging professionals, interns, and others interested in sharing their enthusiasm for architecture are encouraged to volunteer. Feel free to invite colleagues from your office, especially interns and young professionals who would enjoy getting involved. Volunteers may participate for one shift or stay for the entire day – Morning Shift: 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Afternoon Shift: 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. Coffee and donuts will be provided in the morning, along with lunch midway through the day. The Building Contractors Association (BCA) of Northeast Indiana Government Affairs and Young Professionals Committees, in partnership with the AIA Fort Wayne, are hosting a Meet the Candidates Reception on Thursday, October 14, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at The History Center, 302 E Berry St, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. This event is a nonpartisan candidate meet-and-greet where attendees can learn more about the individuals running for local public offices and engage in open conversation in a casual setting. A hosted bar and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Candidate introductions will begin promptly at 5:10 p.m., with time afterward for discussion and networking.
