Executive Director Jason Shelley, Hon. AIA, brings together architects to help them grow professionally while also advocating for public policies that protect and improve the value, health, safety and sustainability of Indiana communities. Jason has been executive director since 2007. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University. When Jason isn’t talking about the importance of architecture, he’s on the road cheering on his favorite IndyCar teams.
AIA Indiana
After more than a decade of going to AIA events with her husband, Kim joined the organization in 2019, to become Membership Services Coordinator. Kim plans and organizes events – including continuing education sessions – encourages architects to get involved within the organization and community and helps promote the profession. A life-long Hoosier, Kim has a degree in communications from Ball State University, and unlike her husband, she would rather read a good book than watch sports.
AIA Indiana represents the interests of and provides services to more than 700 architects and affiliated design professionals. In addition to the state organization, four independently-governed AIA sections, operated by volunteer boards and committees, provide localized programs and services to the members and the communities they serve.
