2017 July AIA / CSI Indianapolis Tour and Program


The Indianapolis CSI Chapter and AIA Indianapolis will offer a Tour of Roche Diagnostics’ recently completed "Building R" Laboratory Building. The tour will provide an excellent example of a "mobile office workplace" as well as energy efficient natural light design and use in accordance with Roche Diagnostic's corporate design directive.

After the tour, CSI and AIA will meet at the Willows on Westfield to hear Randy Schumacher, AIA of CSO Architects present “The Luminous Lab.” In his presentation, Randy will talk about lessons learned and best practices developed during the design and construction of the Roche, Lab Building R project.


  • Tour: Check-In will be promptly at 2:45 PM on Thursday, July 20th. The tour will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at approximately 4:30 PM.
  • Presentation: Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 20th. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM and the presentation will begin at 7:45 PM.


  • Tour: Parking is available on the 1st floor of the Visitors Parking Garage (See Map). Check in and distribution of name badges will be in the Lobby of Building R.
  • Presentation: Willows on Westfield at 6729 Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46220.

Note: Both the tour and the presentation are free events but PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by NOON, Monday July 17th.

*Attendance at monthly meetings will be tracked - prizes (scholarship to the 2018 AIA National Convention or the 2018 AIA Grassroots) to be awarded at the 2017 AIA Indianapolis Annual Meeting and Holiday Party on December 7, 2017.

It's time once again for the annual, AIA Indianapolis Golf Outing!

Due to a historically large demand and the need to accelerate pace of the play, only the first 80 entries will be accepted on a first come – first serve basis. 

Here's the timeline:

10am – Registration/Range/Brunch Served

11 am – Shotgun Start

4:00 pm – Early Dinner / Awards 

Here's what it cost:

$200 per golfer 

Fees include the following: green fees, half cart, prize fund, beer/soda, giveaways, and lunch/dinner/reception. 

The rules to follow:

USGA and Local as posted, scramble style. In the event of a tie, scorecard comparison will be used. If necessary, a putt-off will be held.
